Examples of +PLUSPAK polymer bottles

+PLUSPAK is designed to
improve workplace safety

While injuries associated with opening glass bottles in the busy radiology department often go unreported, the risk of infection and disruption to workflow mean that they are not without consequence.1

Neither are they infrequent. In a conference-based survey of European radiographers and technologists, 43% reported cuts at least once-a-month from opening contrast media with glass packaging or metal pulls. For one in five of those questioned, these injuries occurred more regularly than once-a-week.2

+PLUSPAK was specially designed to minimise the hazards for healthcare workers. The polypropylene bottle removes risk of injuries from glass breakages. While the easy-open polypropylene ring pull avoids cuts from sharp metal edges.

As well as mitigating the chance of injury, switching from traditional glass packaging to +PLUSPAK also saves the expense of hazardous waste disposal.3
